Overview
Tespit is a UI inspection tool that runs entirely on your Mac. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how Tespit handles your data.
Data Collection
Tespit does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The app runs locally on your device and does not communicate with any external servers.
What Tespit Accesses
To function, Tespit uses the macOS Accessibility API to inspect UI elements on screen. This requires the Accessibility permission granted by you in System Settings. Specifically:
- UI element properties (labels, roles, frames) are read in real time and displayed locally.
- No screen content, UI data, or inspection results are transmitted off your device.
- No data is logged, cached, or persisted beyond your active session.
Analytics & Tracking
Tespit does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind.
Third-Party Services
Tespit does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services.
Data Storage
Tespit may store your preferences (such as window size and position) locally on your Mac using standard macOS mechanisms (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device.
Children's Privacy
Tespit does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
